Referrals and Specialist Support

This training course is approx. 30 minutes long and will help caregivers understand how to support family members when doctors recommend a referral to a specialist. Caregivers will learn what referrals mean, how to help families follow through and what challenges may come up. We also talked about how to help people with disabilities or delays; how social workers can help and simple tools to measure needs. Cultural awareness is also included to remind us that families may have different beliefs and experiences with healthcare.
