ADRD Training for Hospice Professionals

This approximately 60-minute course provides hospice professionals with foundational knowledge and practical skills for caring for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD). Participants will learn how ADRD affects behavior and daily functioning, explore the stages of Alzheimer’s disease and identify common symptoms and caregiving challenges at each stage. They will also build communication skills for hospice settings, including when to use validation therapy, how it differs from reality-oriented approaches and how each method can support compassionate, person-centered dementia care.
