Providing Care to Patients with Heart Disease

This training course is approx. 60 minutes long and prepares home health aides to care for patients with heart disease in the home setting. Learners will explore common heart conditions in adults and children, understand the benefits of home health care and review their role in improving independence and quality of life for patients. The training covers company policies, documentation and CMS Conditions of Participation requirements, while also addressing cultural considerations and practical strategies to overcome common obstacles. By the end of this course, aides will be better equipped to support patients, prevent hospital remissions and provide safe, respectful and effective care.
